Ask, Believe, Receive, Thank You
Charli Williams

First of all, you have to ask for what you want. You may want some information, or to gain and serve a new client, or know how to have a conversation with someone so you both win.

How to ask, how to pray for assistance: It is important to ask one clear question per request. This is not because of Spirit's limited ability to answer; it is because of our limited ability to hear the answer. In addition, it is important to ask a question which can be answered. For example, asking "Why me, God?" will not get you much information.

Bear in mind that Spirit already knows the answer to every question. We just forget to ask, sometimes. Ask for the information you want in a positive manner. For example: Say or write: "Where is the Ideal home for me? Tell me in a way I understand. Thank you, Amen." Gratitude is very important to the process. Also, the state of gratitude is an awesome place to live.

I made this request when I had a commitment to move out of my current home, was not finding a residence which served my needs, and I was running out of time. I was negotiating on a condominium, and not getting the results I wanted. In addition, the people involved were difficult to deal with, and I didn't know what to do. I made my request, and excused myself to go to lunch, saying I would look forward to their decision via phone.

I went to lunch at a favorite restaurant to relax and think what to do next.

I had just been seated, when the owner came over to my table. He handed me a business card. "Charli," he said, "I know you are looking to move. Here is the name of the leasing agent at my apartment complex. He says he has just the right apartment for you."

The apartment complex is only 1.5 miles from the restaurant, so I visited after lunch. It is like a resort hotel - beautiful! - with porters, 24 hour maintenance staff and landscape care. The agent showed me the perfect apartment in a great location, and the deal was done. I never lived in an apartment before [nor thought I would]. This was so easy.

Another example: Bette wanted to know if Joan was an Ideal Client for her. Joan looked like an Ideal Client, but Bette wasn't sure. So rather than continue to pursue, she asked: "Is Joan an Ideal Client for me? Tell me in a way I understand. Thank you, Amen." In fewer than 10 minutes, Bette said something to me which gave her the answer. "Alison is definitely an Ideal Client, just the opposite type of person as Joan." Bette was surprised by her own words!

Often times, people get an answer by opening a book they are guided to, or a magazine, or overhearing a conversation, or something they see, which has nothing to do with them.

Rose had a difficult decision to make: Should she have her cat put to sleep? Was it time to put him out of his suffering? She asked, "Is it time for me to have Peaches put to sleep? Tell me in a way I understand. Thank you, Amen." Later that day she was taking the freeway to visit a friend. On the side of an overpass very high above the ground was the body of an orange cat. How did it even get up there? Peaches was orange, so Rose had her answer.

Next, assume your desired outcome. That is, assume you will get the answer to your question. You may have an idea about how you will receive the information, or you may not. It does not matter. During this process of learning, pay attention to the ways you get helpful information. Remember: You do not need to convince anyone else that you have this ability. Use it for your own success, and the success of others, and only discuss it with like-minded friends.

Spirit has a great sense of humor, and answers most often come in the most surprising ways! As I said before, some people open a book or a magazine, and their eye falls on the words that answer the question. Some overhear a conversation, or a song on the radio, or see an ad on television. Some people "hear" the answer in their head. Others "just know," sometimes it comes in a dream. When the answer comes, you may not realize it until later. That is okay, too, because you are becoming aware.

Be sure to say thank you when you realize you have received the answer, just as you would to anyone who gave you a gift.

Often when people are beginning this practice, they are surprised with the ease of the results, and are unthinkingly rude. "That was weird," is something I hear a lot from people telling me about their results.

However, if you think of your response as though you were talking to a valued friend, you will speak and think differently. For example, if I say to you, "You're weird," you will have a certain response. If I say, "You are so interesting," or "You are wonderful," or "You made this so easy for me. Thank you!" you will have another response. It is the same with Spirit, so be gracious and grateful. And have fun with this. This is not "work," this is play.

How do you get to the point of believing this will work? Practice, practice, practice. Self-trust comes from self-confidence. Self-confidence comes from doing a thing over and over, regardless of how you feel at the time or what mistakes you make. Sometimes Spirit will speak to you, but you won't recognize that fact until later. That is part of the practice - the practice of becoming aware.

The acronym for Living in the Rhythm is LITR. Your life is lighter, when you are Living in the Rhythm. To live that way, you use Magic (or Miracles, if you prefer), Intuition and Telepathy. Thereby, you have more MIT…you are mightier in your life.

For example: I called a long-time client the other day. When she answered, she said she had been thinking about me strongly and wanted to talk. She didn't bother to pick up the phone to call me, though, because she knew I would call her. We have good Telepathy.

Lisa fills her work schedule by thinking of a client, knowing they need to see her, and penciling their name into open spaces in her calendar. When they call for an appointment, her secretary inks in their name. She has developed excellent Intuition. "At my office, we just rely on it now. I am booked so far out, I now have to decide if I am willing to work an additional day each week."

Another example of telepathy: Stephanie and I were planning to meet for dinner at a particular restaurant at 6:30 on a Tuesday evening. I knew it would take me only about 7 minutes to get there, so I had planned to close my office at 6:30 and leave. I was working at my desk when, looking up at my computer clock, I noticed it was five minutes to six. I decided to close my office earlier than planned, go to the restaurant and have a glass of wine while I waited for Stephanie.

The restaurant in question is located in a very busy shopping center - often it is difficult to find a place to park. But this evening, there was a place for me right in front! As I pulled into the space, someone was emerging from the car right in front of me: It was Stephanie, and she was smiling. "I see you got my message. I didn't bother to call you from my car. There was no traffic." Because she consciously sent me the message telepathically, and I got it, we both arrived at the same time - twenty minutes early.

Magic and Miracles are the unexpected goodies you get from life, to enjoy with gratitude and delight.

An example:
Chris has been practicing LITR for several years. Recently, she took her family with her to a convention in Newport Beach California. The hotel was lovely. Their adjoining rooms were beautiful, and had a remarkable view. Later they realized they were on the concierge floor, so there was a buffet of food and drinks available, 24 hours a day (as well as 24-hour room service). All the convention guests were staying at this hotel. But no one had an ocean view like Chris did, and no one else from the convention had been booked onto the concierge floor!

A tool for developing your telepathy: I call this tool "Telephone Telepathy." When the phone rings, wait before you answer. Ask Spirit, "Who is calling?" And let the answer come. Let the phone ring up to three times; if you do not have the name of the caller, answer anyway. Keep asking the question. You will get better and better at knowing the caller.

After a time, you will also know that the phone is about to ring. This is very helpful, especially when you are about to walk out the door! When you know someone is going to call, you can wait for the phone to ring.

Also, you may "suspect" the caller is someone you do not want to talk with, and you can let your voicemail take the call.

Another advantage of telephone telepathy: As with the examples above, you can think about someone, and just let them call you!

What you focus on, you get more of, so make brief notes on your questions and your answers, pay attention as to how the answers come to you. You are in a learning process and therefore all information regarding your process is valuable. By taking the time to write, you are focusing your mind on the subject, you are developing your communication with Spirit.
