Decide
What You Want, Assume You Can Have It
Charli Williams |
In this chapter, we are going to learn how
to practice visualization. Visualization is one of the most
powerful tools we humans have for manifesting change in our
lives.
The word "visualization" is really a misnomer.
It is not necessary to see something with your mind's
eye, as you would with your organic eye. It simply means to
see, sense, feel (emotionally and with the physical senses)
or imagine your desired outcome, or goal.
Decide what you want; assume you can have it; visualize it
with as much energy as you can; then let it go (as discussed
in the previous chapter), and go into your day with a sense
of joyous anticipation.
Energetic Visualization: Neville,
in his book "Resurrection," says: "If we
would become as emotionally aroused over our ideals as we
become over our dislikes, we would ascent to the plane of
our ideals as easily as we now descent to the level of our
hates…for we become that with which we are en rapport."
This refers to the fact that your thoughts
have the power to create your reality. The energy of thought
is real. Worry, doubt and fear are powerful emotions. So are
love, joy and delight. When you decide what you want and assume
you can have it, you feel a great sense of joy. Use this powerful
emotion of joy while focused on having already accomplished
your desire.
For example: Eric wanted a particular house,
and wasn't sure he was going to qualify to buy it. Rather
than worrying about it, he did this: He assumed he would own
that home. He sat in the backyard of his rental residence,
closed his eyes on his current world, and put himself into
the space of the new home. He imagined he was in the backyard
of that home. He listened to the (imagined) sound of the wind
in the pine trees. He (imagined) the scent of the flowers
growing in the "nearby" flowerbeds. In his minds'
eye, he "saw" the back of the house, from the
perspective of the yard. The home he desired had a swimming
pool with a waterfall. He listened to the sound of the water
falling, and he smelled the slight scent of the chlorine in
the pool. He could "hear" the muffled sound of
the pool filtering system, hidden in its enclosure.
Emotionally, Eric "felt" the
joy of having achieved ownership of that home. He stayed in
that space of enjoyment for a while. Then, breathing deeply
and smiling, he gave a silent "thank you," and
let go of the visualization.
Opening his eyes, he "knew" he
would be moving into that home. Therefore, he began taking
the steps necessary in order to make the move: planning the
packing, getting rid of items he wouldn't be taking
with him, finding a moving company and getting estimates.
Because the new home was bigger than any house he had lived
in before, he even called the utility companies to get estimates
of monthly charges for gas, electricity and water in a home
that size, in that community.
To visualize successfully, close your eyes
on the world around you and enter the world of your creative
imagination. It is from here you create your future.
NOTE: When the financial
goals have been met and continue being met, when the material,
physical and romantic goals are met; the only things to focus
on now are helping other people and enjoying life.
This is where you want to put your visualization energies.
Have fun with this. Spirit wants you to win,
and Spirit has a great sense of humor.
Assume you will accomplish your
goal. You are going to assume something, so you might as well
assume something that supports your desires. (Again, use Old
Path, New Path) Act as if … by preparing for it. Go
into your day excited, knowing you will accomplish your desire.
If you are honest and honorable, if you give your gift to
others and serve them well, you can have what you want in
life.
In more than fifteen years of working with
entrepreneurs and business owners and more than five years
of teaching my clients intuition development, this is my honest
and sincere experience.
Use that Spiritual part of yourself
to enhance your humanness. That's not cheating; that
is living life more fully.
When you are Living in the Rhythm, stress
will disappear. When you lose your stress, your body will
be healthier. When you are used to Living in the Rhythm, you
will have your own personal experiences to share with others,
and encourage them to Live in the Rhythm, too.
Just as you want your own children to be
healthy, wealthy and happy, Spirit wants the same for you.
Life was not meant to be a struggle. It can be easy and fun,
if you are willing to have it be so. You can be as happy as
you are willing to be.
You are the coach and the quarterback in
your own life. Spirit will support your choices in the game
of life, whatever they may be. If you are self-confident and
determined to find a way to win, Spirit is your A-Team. If
you are timid and unsure, Spirit will sit back and wait for
you to change your mind. Help and guidance are always available
to those who ask for it.
This thought reminds me of the remarks of
a professional football coach during the playoffs one year.
His team was down at half time. When the media man on the
field asked him his plan for the second half, he replied:
"We just have to go out there and try
to win." His words and his tone of voice said it all.
Of course, his team lost. The coach had no confidence in them.
"Try" is a word in our language,
it is not an action. It is an excuse in advance for not succeeding.
"Well, I tried to get to your dinner party last week."
When you decide to win this game, you will. With the help
of your A-Team, you will find a way. When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
go into a football game, they have a goal and a plan. The
goal is to make more points than the other team, and win the
game. They have a game plan. Then the game begins. The other
team will make some moves that cannot be predicted in advance,
and the plan changes. But the goal doesn't change.
It is same for you: Decide what you want; assume you can have
it; ask your A-Team for guidance; and go into your day with
a sense of joyous anticipation as you follow your plan. Listen
to your intuition, enjoy the magic and follow up on your telepathic
guidance.
If at first you do succeed, try
not to look surprised. And do enjoy! You are Living in the
Rhythm when life is easy and fun.
An important note: As with
anything new, success comes with practice. One does not get
up off the sofa and run a marathon. One gets up off the sofa
and walks around the block. After doing that for a while,
one walks around two blocks, and so on.
Unlike other practices, though, Living in
the Rhythm (LITR) will come to you quickly. It doesn't
take much: you could be seeing results immediately, or it
could take a few practices. Be patient with yourself, and
keep practicing. You will succeed. Remember that you are responsible
for your own results. There is great personal power is recognizing
your responsibility.
Remember, too, that intention is more important
that technique. Take these ideas I have given you, practice,
and adapt them to doing what works best for you. Keep good
notes, so you will remember your progress.
If you are "trying" to
follow a particular technique, you are not focusing
on the results. Focus on results.
Winning and success - as I define those
words - is having what you want in life. Being happy,
healthy, having good relationships with your family, clients
and friends. Having the business success that makes you happy.
After all, you live in America, you have
freedom of choice, and Spirit is on your side.
Practice with these tools. As with any tools, it doesn't
matter how powerful they are, you will only get results when
you pick them up and use them.
Keep track of your results in writing, to help you remember.
Notice how the results are the same or different than your
desired results, and then - most importantly, pay attention
to your response to the results you have achieved. Fine tune
your techniques by looking at what worked in the way you wanted
it to and what didn't. Then practice, practice, practice.
You will succeed very well, and very soon as long as you keep
practicing.
Keep your own counsel: Jesus
is quoted as saying, You are either with me, or you are against
me. I have always thought that was a little harsh, until I
started studying energy fields of the body. The fact of the
matter is this: you are either adding to my life force energy,
or you are sucking it away. Therefore, have a care with whom
you choose to share your LITR work. Discuss this material
with like-minded friends; do not bother attempting to convince
the skeptics. If someone asks you questions out of a true
curiosity and interest in learning, okay. Otherwise, keep
your own counsel.
Attempting to enroll non-believers in your new beliefs and
abilities will only undermine your results and slow your success.
